Contribute us in Building a Skilled Workforce, For Your Industry

Support a Skill is a drive to revive the potential in our youth that despite being underprivileged can be a boon for society. Support a Skill Care Foundation is a contribution-led non-government organization certified to impart skill training programs across India and is aimed to strengthen the economically underprivileged youth, by skilling them for various industries like Travel, Tourism & Hospitality, Retail, IT, Digital Marketing and many more.

Moreover, with the skilled workforce we build, we aim to reinforce the industries and make them stronger. To accelerate this initiative and catalyse the transformation, stakeholders from all industries must come together to become Ambassadors for Change and contributors to make the initiative successful.

Purpose

Our Mission

India is the land of youth, the global hub of the youngest demography yet home to the world’s largest yet unemployable population, hence every industry in India is facing a skill deficit. Today, more than 90% of the country’s workforce is either unskilled or semi-skilled, which is a severe setback to the Indian human resource and to the Indian economy. This is where we get into the picture.

We at ‘Support A Skill’, believe in bridging this gap between in-demand skills and the unskilled workforce supply. We are a belief-driven team of changemakers who truly believe that ‘To be skilled, is a Right’ and shall be granted to everyone despite their circumstances. With an aim to strengthen our youth, we are on a journey to educate and instil relevant skills in them to build a stronger nation.

Target

Our Vision

We see our country as the world’s largest mine of uncut diamonds. We have the potential, enthusiasm and limitless determination to outperform, but are severely outnumbered when it comes to skilled labour. Through your contribution and support, we aim to provide ‘Free skill development’ to every willing individual in this country. Our country has a dire need for skill development programs and in this small initiative led by us, we truly need enthusiastic volunteers and initiators who wish to make a small contribution to make India a ‘Global Skill Hub’.

Moreover, with this initiative, we wish to fulfil a larger goal of building a strong community of skilled individuals, who can contribute to society, and the industries and can strongly be a flywheel in the engine of our Indian economy.

How Can You Help?

Socialprenueur

The Visionary

Support a Skill Care Foundation is the brainchild of Dr Surinder Kumar, an entrepreneur, a certified life coach, and a mentor with a doctorate in Tourism, who began her journey by transforming the travel and hospitality industry and over time set her foot on a journey of transforming herself into a ‘socialpreneur’. Started in the early ’90s with her first venture, Travel Mate India Pvt. Ltd., a brand curated to bring the world to India and take India across the globe. This was a great success and brought her several international recognitions and accolades.

However, she had witnessed a dire need for highly skilled and trained individuals to sustain and upscale the tourism and hospitality industry. Hence, in 2002, she established The TMI Academy of Travel Tourism & Aviation Studies, a professional vocational training institute to create a pool of profound travel professionals across various facets of travel, tourism & hospitality operations. Over the years, Dr S. Kumar has trained over 11000 students in multiple courses of travel management, tour operations, airlines, retail & hospitality.

In 2021, Dr Kumar began her Socialpreneur journey with Support a Skill Care Foundation. She aims to train underprivileged students and professionals to achieve a livelihood in the travel, tourism and hospitality industry, but their economic conditions restrict them. The intention is to strengthen their professional skills through Comprehensive Skills Training Programs and provide these trained individuals to the Travel, Tourism, Aviation and Hospitality industry. With Support a Skill Care Foundation she wishes to give back to society and the tourism industry which has been the foundation of her success.

Established In 2021 by Dr Kumar with an aim to train underprivileged students and professionals to achieve a livelihood in various industries like Travel, Tourism & Hospitality, Retail, IT, Digital Marketing and provide them to the industry for its growth.

We have a very clear line of action. We work to create a livelihood for the underprivileged by skilling them in various industry-relevant courses and then placing them into the industry. For this, we take contributions from various stakeholders from those industries. This way we skill students and professionals for the industries and help them in strengthening their work.

To contribute to this initiative there are 4 primary routes:

Companies can help us raise money through either donations or corporate social responsibility. Individuals can help us through donations, by creating channels for quick fundraising or they can even enrol with us as volunteers in the program and skill the underprivileged of our society.
